Oldest Ambulance

1951 born January 16 1951 sent to Miesen Ambulance in Bonn germany for the conversion and sent to Portugal for ambulance service. this is the oldest ambulace on record and maybe the first Ambulance .Volkwagen started sending them to Miesen in the first 2 weeks in January of 1951 so this is probably the first one . only 2 are shown on record.this is one of two true barndoor Ambulance before volkwagen chopped the engine compartment down and changed gas tank at the end of 1951
